Frindle by Andrew Clements
Frindle by Andrew Clements is about a kid named Nick Allen. The genre is realistic fiction. Nick is just starting 5th grade, but then the Language Arts teacher was still there. Mrs. Granger was the meanest Language Arts teacher in the world. Then during the middle of the year, Nick makes up this word "frindle". (It it a pen.) During the year Nick was telling the whole school to start saying the word "frindle" so everyone started getting detention. So Mrs. Granger and all the students had to stay after school every single day.
I like the book because it was a short story and it was interesting. I think that boys in Seventh Grade would like this book because it was not that hard to read and the story was pretty hilarious especially when the kids pick on the Language Arts teacher.
