Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea by Jules Verne

Imagine being a prisoner of war and travel through the depths of the sea. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is a great novel for science fiction readers. Other books by Jules Verne are A Journey to the Center of the Earth and Around the World In 80 Days. In the story, a well-known English professor boards a ship in New York to hunt down a monster lurking in the Atlantic Ocean. When the ship locates and fire at the monster, the professor with two crewmembers are thrown overboard and captured by a submarine, which happens to be the monster. In charge of the submarine is the eccentric Captain Nemo who keeps the three captives to travel across the sea. The journey goes to places inhabited areas such as the South Pole and the fabled Atlantis. Will the captives be able to escape or travel the seas for life?
