The sixteen-year-old Josie and her mother finally begin trusting men enough to start dating seriously. Then, suddenly the father Josie never knew comes back to town and shakes up what was already becoming a difficult mother-daughter relationship. Josie is fine with not knowing her father. To Josie, Paul Tucci, is a normal guy that got her mom pregnant and then left her. All this happened sixteen years ago, when Josie's mom was a teenager. But now Josie's father is back in town. Now Josie has to deal with not only one but two guys- her father and her boyfriend. Josie fears that he will hurt her just like Paul Tucci hurt her mother.
