Assassin is a historical fiction novel about John Wilkes Booth and the assassination of President Lincoln. The author created a fictional character, Bella, and alternates chapters between her and John Wilkes Booth. The author did a lot of research on Booth and the assassination so the book is accurate, but still fun to read.
If you have to or like to read historical fiction, this is a good choice for boys and girls.
